South Bend Central Development Area <br /> <br />(3) continued… <br /> <br />trees; remove the steel posts along its <br />boundary; and add three terra cotta colored <br />cement pads, with two benches per pad. <br /> <br />To the middle paved parking lot, we would <br />remove the cement block entrance, and <br />replace it with shrubby; remove old <br />miscellaneous items sticking out of the <br />ground at the entrance; remove the large <br />cement barriers at the back of the lot, and <br />reseal and restripe the lot, with the possibility <br />of repaving the lot; and price new lighting <br />within this lot. <br /> <br />On the southern most grassy lot, we would <br />remove all steel posts along its boundary, <br />remove the guardrail that is currently laying <br />on the ground at the back of the lot, and <br />generally clean the area running from this lot <br />to Lafayette Street. <br /> <br />Along the western edge of all three lots, we <br />would make a clean edge of the existing <br />planting bed and add landscaping where <br />needed. <br /> <br />The total project services cost is $8,800, with <br />a not-to-exceed amount of $12,000 requested <br />for the time and materials portion of the <br />agreement. <br /> <br />Ms. King asked who will be responsible for <br />maintenance of this lot. Mr. Relos responded <br />that DTSB has been watering the trees. He <br />assumed they would take care of the <br />additional watering. The Park Dept. does the <br /> 15 <br /> <br />
