x' 3w~± / <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Attest: <br />s/Angela Jacob, Clerk <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />DECEMBER 8, 200 <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFE"fY <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />s/Jesusa Rodriguez <br />s/Donald Alford <br />s/Juanita Dempsey <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE PROMOTION -CORPORAL PAUL DALEY <br />In a letter to the Board, Chief Thomas Fautz requested that Corporal Paul Daley be promoted from <br />the rank of Corporal to the rank of Detective Sergeant in the Investigative Division, Family Violence <br />Special Victims Unit, effective December 14, 2005. Upon a motion made by Ms. Dempsey. <br />seconded by Mr. Alford and carried, the promotion was accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE DEMOTION -JAMIE BUFORD <br />In a letter to the Board, Chief Thomas Fautz has requested a demotion to Corporal for Sergeant <br />Jamie Buford. He has requested this demotion to Corporal in the County Metro Homicide Unit fur <br />personal reasons. Chief Fautz stated that Sergeant Buford has waived any rights he may have to a <br />hearing on this matter under LC. 36-8-3 before the Board of Public Safety. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Alford, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the demotion was accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND FILE 3`d QUARTERLY REPORT FOR SPECIALIZED SCHOOL -JULY. <br />AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER 2005 <br />Captain Wanda Shock, Director of Training, South Bend Police Department, submitted the Quarterly <br />Report for Specialized School for July through September 2005. There being no further discussion. <br />the report was accepted and filed. <br />CANNON DISCIPLINE <br />Upon a motion made by President Rodriguez, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the Board of <br />Public Safety will instruct the Board Attorney (in the matter of charges against Nathan Cannon).
