:: y;'r, <br />,v .~ <br />i. <br />REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 16, 2005 <br />ACCEPT DONATION TO SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Chief Fautz advised the board a generous donation of $40.00 was made to the South Bend Police <br />Department K9 Unit by the South Bend Public Library. This money was donated to the K9 Unit for <br />a demonstration that was done at the downtown library on November 9, 2005. There being no <br />further discussion, the donation was accepted. <br />ACCEPT DONATION TO SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Chief Fautz stated the Crime Prevention Unit has received a check from the Policeman's Credit <br />Union in the amount of $150 in appreciation for a mock robbery presentation that was held on <br />October 11, 2005. There being no further discussion, the donation was accepted. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY STATISTICAL ANALYSIS REPORT -OCTOBER 2005 <br />President Rodriguez indicated that unless there were questions or objections by members of the <br />Board, the statistical report for the month of October 2005 as submitted by the Police Department, <br />would be accepted for filing. He has successfully completed three (3) years of <br />service with the South Bend Police Department. Upon a motion made by Mr. Alford, seconded by <br />Ms. Dempsey and carried, the promotion was approved. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />RESCHEDULE HEARING -CHARGE OS-03 -JEREMY DOWNS <br />President Rodriguez stated the hearing date has been rescheduled to December I, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. <br />in the Council Chambers, 4"' Floor, County-City Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 76-2005 -HOLIDAY SCHEDULE <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Dempsey, seconded by Mr. Alford and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Safety: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-2005 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is empowered by <br />law to establish rules and regulations for the South Bend Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City of South Bend that the Fire Department holidays <br />be set with certainty. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Safety of the City of South <br />Bend: <br />SECTION I. That all firefighters vvho work 24-hour shifts are not entitled to holidays off. <br />
