<br />1 <br />1 <br />PUBLIC AGENDA SESSION NOVEMBER 16, 2005 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in the Public Agenda Session at 8:03 a.m. on Wednesday, November <br />16, 2005 with President Jesusa Rodriguez and Board Members Juanita Dempsey and Donald Alford <br />present. Board Member Wesley Taylor was not present. Also present were Police Chief Thomas H. <br />Fautz, Fire Chief Luther Taylor and Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />The meeting was held in the Board of Public Works Meeting Room, 13"' Floor, County City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />Board members discussed the following item(s) from that list. <br />- Resolution No. 75-2005 -Vacation Schedule -Police Department <br />Mr. Bodnar stated the vacation schedule remains the same as the previous year, and pertains <br />to personnel working 5 days on and 2 days off, and 6 days on and 3 days off <br />-Request for Leave of Absence -Police Department <br />Mr. Bodnar stated this individual is requesting an unpaid leave of absence, with continued <br />health benefits until the disability pension is determined. <br />-Donations to Police Department <br />Mr. Bodnar stated the donations made to the Police Department are for two presentations <br />made by the Police Department. <br />- Monthly Statistical Analysis -Police Department <br />Chief Tom Fautz indicated larcenies and auto thefts have declined, while burglaries have <br />risen. <br />- Request for Promotion -Police Department <br />Chief Fautz stated the promotion is for a patrolman serving three (3) satisfactory years. <br />- Hearing Rescheduled -Charge OS-03 -Fire Department <br />Mr. Bodnar stated the hearing is being rescheduled to accommodate the schedules of board <br />members and attorneys. <br />- Resolution No. 76-2005 -Holiday Schedule -Fire Department <br />Mr. Bodnar stated this holiday schedule is for personnel working 4 or 5 work days, and those <br />with an eight-hour assignment. <br />- Monthly Statistical Analysis -Fire Department <br />Chief Luther Taylor made a few changes to the report. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, President Rodriguez declared the meeting <br />adjourned at 8:25 a.m. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />Je a Rodriguez, President <br />D'~%s~ <br />Donald L.
