<br />REGULAR MEETING JUNE 14, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in <br />the Council Chambers of the County-City Building on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 7:00 <br />p.m. The meeting was called to order by Council President Dieter and the Invocation and <br />Pledge to the Flag were given. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: <br /> <br />Present: Derek D. Talboom Deputy City Clerk <br /> Mary Beth Wisniewski Chief Deputy <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br /> <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: The sub-committee has inspected <br />the minutes of the May 24, 2010 meeting of the Council and found them to be correct. <br /> <br />Therefore, we recommend the same be approved. <br /> <br /> s/Derek D. Dieter <br /> s/David Varner <br /> <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion that the minutes of the May 24, 2010 meeting of <br />the Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the <br />motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. <br /> <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENT OF OPENING ON TRANSPO BOARD <br />Council President Dieter made an announcement that there is an opening on the <br />TRANSPO Board. The applicant must be a registered Republican, live within the City of <br />South Bend’s limits. He noted that the term is a four year appointment. You may find <br />applications on the Council’s Website at www.southbendin.gov ; the deadline to apply is <br />Wednesday, June 23, 2010. <br /> <br />Councilmember Puzzello announced that the St. Joseph County Health Department has <br />announced 2010-2011 New Vaccination Requirements for Grade 6-12. They are Tdap, <br />nd <br />for whooping cough; Menactra, for meningitis and 2 Varicella, for chicken pox. She <br />stated that the St. Joseph County Health Department will be offering the following clinics <br />for children who are unable to receive these vaccinations from their doctor. Thursday, <br />June 10, Tuesday, June 15, Tuesday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 29 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 <br />p.m. all clinics will be held in the lobby of the County-City Building, 227 W.
