gt~t . , . <br />.. _~,. <br />PUBLIC AGENDA SESSION OCTOBER 26, 2005 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in the Public Agenda Session at 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday, October <br />26, 2005 with President Jesusa Rodriguez and Board Members Juanita Dempsey and Donald Alford <br />present. Board Member Wesley Taylor was not present. Also present were Police Chief Thomas H. <br />•~ Fautz, Fire Chief Luther Taylor and Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />The meeting was held in the Board of Public Works Meeting Room, 13`" Floor, County City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />,Agenda Item Added: <br />The following item was added to the agenda: <br />- Statistical Monthly Analysis -September 2005 -Police Department <br />Board members discussed the following item(s) from that list. <br />- Minutes <br />Board members reviewed the minutes and found no changes. <br />- Promotions -Police Department <br />Mr. Bodnar stated the eighteen (18) month Sergeant automatic agreement for promotions has <br />been eliminated. The two (2) Sergeant promotions were still in the paperwork process; there <br />will be approximately two (2) more promotions to come before the Board that are in this <br />phase. <br />- Employee(s) of the Month -Police Department <br />Chief Fautz stated the "Employeeof the Month" information will be forwarded to Board of <br />Safety in the future. <br />- Donations to Police Department <br />Chief Fautz stated donations have been given to the Police Department from Kroger, Granger <br />Missionary Church, Mr. Ross Elias and Antique Motors, Inc. Chief Fautz thanked the <br />community for the generous donations. <br />Monthly Statistical Analysis September 2005 -Police Department <br />Chief Fautz stated the Police Department has made a good impact on crime in the last few <br />weeks. He also reminded Board members of meetings where Police officials discuss <br />solutions in solving crime in the City. <br />- Filing of Factual Allegations/Charges - OS-03 -Fire Department <br />- ~ Mr. Bodnar stated this is a matter of accepting the document for filing, and the Clerk should <br />serve the appropriate paperwork. A special meeting is tentatively set for a special meeting on <br />November 4 at 8:15 a.m. to set a meeting for a hearing, if needed. <br />- Monthly Statistical Analysis -September 2005 -Fire Department <br />Chief Taylor mentioned that the format is now more presentable and easier to read. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, President Rodriguez declared the meeting <br />adjourned at 8:32 a.m. <br />c---BOARD OF P IC ETY <br />~. <br />Je.usa Rodriguez, Presid <br />~?~ <br />Donald L.
