South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting -June 4, 2010
to be done to accommodate the use; and they
will suggest compatible uses. Staff requests
a not-to-exceed fee of $50,000.
Ms. Jones asked what the time frame would
be. Mr. Relos responded that there is no set
time frame. Staff expects a decision to be
made about reuse in the next year.
Mr. Inks noted that there was $175,000 set
aside in the budget for matching funds for an
EDA grant that was going to look at the reuse
of the facility. That item seems to be off the
table. Those funds will be used for this
contract.
Ms. King asked if ADG will be preparing a
report. We have suggested large
pyramid shaped skylights, but we don't know
if the structure would support those. We
have suggested moving the front of the first
floor closer to the street, but don't know if
the lower level will support that. Also, there
are no loading docks directly into the Hall of
Fame. Unloading must be done at Century
Center. The tunnel entrance between
4
