South Side Development Area <br /> <br />(1) continued… <br /> <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that staff is asking for an <br />Addendum to the Master Agency Agreement <br />to allow the Board of Public Works to <br />contract with Christopher Burke Engineering <br />for professional and design services related <br />to the Erskine Detention Pond Relocation <br />Project – Phase Three. The proposal amount <br />for the professional services is $9,420.00. <br />This will be an expansion of their existing <br />$142,200.00 contract approved by the <br />Commission and Board of Public Works in <br />February 2010. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2682 and the addendum <br />relate to the Erskine Detention Pond <br />Relocation Project – Phase Three. There is a <br />revision of the scope of design services for <br />the pond project due to the reconsideration of <br />redesigning and reconstructing the existing <br />retention areas in place. The proposal will <br />also design pedestrian connection elements <br />along Miami Road to the intersection of <br />Bowen and Miami. <br /> <br />Ms. King asked if this work is so technical <br />that there are no local contractors able to do <br />it. Mr. Schalliol responded that Christopher <br />Burke has a South Bend office and the South <br />Bend office is doing this work. <br /> <br />Mr. Varner asked if improvements to the golf <br />course are off the table. Mr. Schalliol <br />responded that he expects to bring a proposal <br />to the Commission soon that will include <br />improvements to the road and right of way <br />near where High street meets Ireland.
