CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />NOTES TO SCHEDULE OF EXPENDITURES OF FEDERAL AWARDS <br />Note I. Basis of Presentation <br />The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards includes the federal grant activity of <br />the City of South Bend (primary government) and is presented in accordance with the requirements <br />of OMB Circular A-133, Audits of States Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations. Accord- <br />ingly, the amount of federal awards expended is based on when the activity related to the award <br />occurs. Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in, <br />or used in the preparation of, the basic financial statements. <br />Note II.
