Jefferson Blvd. South Bend, IN 46601 Dear Commissioners: Ivy Tech-South Bend requests the Redevelopment Commission to add the following properties to the acquisition list for possible acquisition and donation to Ivy Tech, similar to the four properties in the same block added to the list last fall: • 114/116 E. Sample St, and l ] 5 Ohio. Currently Mason's Heating, Air Conditioning & Appliances Inc., owned by Fidencio and Esperanza Bueno. • 120 E. Sample St. and 117, 119, 121, 123 Ohio. Currently Enyart Electric Motor Service Inc., owned by Patricia Enyart Trustee. • 202 and 130 E. Sample St. and 125, ]27, 129 Ohio. Currently Sinco Pools, owned by Leonard and Karen Sears. As you may recall, these properties are included in Ivy Tech-South Bend's 25-year campus expansion plan, In the short to medium term, the region will use the properties as follows: • Sineo Pools property: Relocate School of Fine Arts and Design from main campus on Dean Johnson Boulevard. Previously, the college had hoped to move the school to the Discount Rental building on East Sample, but the owners of that building have not determined if and when they will be willing to sell the building. Should the Discount Rental building later become available, the college would still request the Redevelopment Commission to acquire it for the college's use, and would locate all or part of the School of Health Sciences there. • Enyart property: House the painter, insulator, bricklayer, and the setter apprenticeship programs. These programs now are located in the block building west of Ivy Tcch on Sample Street (TI'OSS) and in ITOSS. 2Z0 DEAN JOHNSON BOULEVARD SOUTH BEND.
