I think it is a good idea that you get the numbers and calculate those numbers so we can have an accurate calculation. What I would like to do now is read the letter from my sister first. “I’m writing to protest Resolution No. 2667. It came to me as a shock when I read the letter received by my parents, Emery and Marian Keszei, from the City on March 26, 2010. This was the first time that my parents, through me, had learned that the City was interested in buying my parent’s home and adjoining lot. I really wanted to be present at this meeting but having spring break vacation plans with my family. Also, the City planning committee scheduled the meeting for April 9, which was only two weeks from when my parents received the letter from the City because we were previously misrepresented by Chris Davey. I wonder why we were given such short notice and why was it scheduled during the school’s spring break. I called the City Planning office to request a continuance but was informed by David that there was no such thing as a continuance in these matters. I was told that these meetings are set by the City Council and cannot be changed, so I am very disappointed that it was scheduled during spring break, and only two weeks notice was given to us before a meeting was set, which will potentially take my parents’ home away from them. It was very short notice.
