PUBLIC AGENDA SESSION <br />MARCH 18.2010 64 <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF QUOTATION - COVELESKI STADIUM -BACKSTOP <br />NETTING REPLACEMENT - PROJECT,NO. 110-008 "'"°•-____ <br />. ....,~.._,_ A (SBCDA TIFF <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for <br />the above referenced project. The following Quotation was opened. Mr. Littrell informed the <br />Board that the Non-Collusion Affidavit was not filled in and signed by the contractor. Attorney <br />Larry Meteiver recommended the quote not be read until the contractox was contacted to forward <br />the signed form that is part of the required paperwork. Mr. Meteiver noted if the contractor did <br />not forward the document, the project would need to be re-quoted and he recommended the <br />Board not reveal what Burbank had quoted to keep competition fair. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a <br />motion the Board authorizes the President of the Board, accompanied by the City attorney, to <br />open the bid and take action on the following day, Friday, if the contractor could forward the <br />document by then. Mr. Inks seconded the motion, which carried. <br />Mr. Rab Nichols, Engineering, contacted Burbank Sport Nets and they faxed a signed copy of <br />the Non-Collusion Affidavit and promised to overnight the original by Friday morning. <br />Therefore, the following quotation was read: <br />BURBANK SPORTS NETS <br />Post Office Box 1 b 198 <br />Fernandina, Florida 16198 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Eli Rawe <br />QUOTATION: $70,054.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mx. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above Quotation was <br />referred to Engineering and Community & Economic Development far review and <br />recommendation. After reviewing the bid, Mr. Rob Nichols, Engineering, recommended that the <br />Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Burbank Sports Nets in <br />the amount of $70,054.00. Additionally, the Construction Contract was submitted for approval. <br />Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quote be <br />awarded and the Construction Contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the <br />motion, which carried. <br />Mr. Inks requested the engineers carefully monitor the casts of the remaining bidding on this <br />project because there are other parts of Phase I that are not going to be bid, but are part of the <br />total dollars allotted for the project. <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF UOTATIONS - COVELESKI STADIUM -FIELD WALL <br />REPLACEMENT -- PROJECT NO. 110-008B (SBCDA TIFF <br />Mr. Gilat advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for <br />the above referenced project.
