REGULAR MEETING March 26, 2018 <br /> Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in the Council <br /> Chambers of the County-City Building on Monday March 26th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting <br /> was called to order by Council President Tim Scott and the Invocation (Rev. Hugh R. Councilmember Gavin Ferlic <br /> seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> BILL NO. <br /> 18-11 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND <br /> COMMON COUNCIL HONORING THE SOUTH <br /> BEND RILEY BOYS' BASKETBALL TEAM <br /> FOR ITS SUCCESS IN THE 2017-2018 <br /> BASKETBALLSEASON <br /> Councilmember Oliver Davis, 1801 Nash Street, South Bend, IN, and Councilmember Sharon <br /> McBride, 415 E. Broadway Street, South Bend, IN, served as presenters for this bill. <br /> Councilmember Sharon McBride stated, A Resolution of the South Bend Common Council <br /> honoring the South Bend Riley Boys' Basketball Team for its success in the 2017-2018 basketball <br /> season. Whereas, South Bend's Riley High School's 2017-2018 Wildcats Boys' Basketball Team <br /> notched twenty-six (26) straight wins on the way to the first undefeated regular season by a local <br /> high school basketball team since 1979,together with sectional and regional championships; and, <br /> Whereas, The South Bend Common Council desires that the seniors on the team: Mikel Dorsey, <br /> Shaman Dillard (Captain), Damezi Anderson, Jr. (Captain), Harrington Greer, Jr., Rylen Grundy <br /> (Captain), Marlon Taylor and Ty'Juan Reid, be forever remembered in the history of South Bend, <br /> despite the retirement of their posters from the Riley gym balcony; and, Whereas, The South Bend <br /> I <br />
