ORDINANCE NO. 6 ~~~~"~ l AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY BOUNDED BY Chapin Street, Norfolk Southern Railroad, Laurel Street, and the first alley north of Western Avenue, Councilmanic District 2, IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The intent is to rezone the proposed land from several districts to a Planned Unit Development for construction and operation of a community center and assembly space for religious use, with required vehicle parking. Several variances and special exceptions would be required for the development to be located in the current multiple districts, or in any other single district. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: SECTION l., Ordinance No.: 9495-04 is amended, which ordinance is commonly knows as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real estate, Parcels A and B, in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: Parcel A Parcel of land situate in the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 37 North, Range 2 East, City of South Bend, County of St. Joseph, and State of Indiana and more particularly bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point 60.00 feet South and 20.00 feet East of the centerline intersection of Western Avenue and Laurel Street; thence along an assumed bearing of North 89 degrees 54' 24" East, parallel to and 60.00 feet South of the centerline of Western Avenue, 466.28 feet; thence along a 172.00 foot radius curve to the right having an arc length of 48.28 feet, a chord length of 48.12 feet and a chord bearing of South 82 degrees 03' 06" East; thence along a 57.00 foot radius curve to the right having an arc length of 57.47 feet, a chord length of 55.07 feet and a chord bearing of South 45 degrees 07' 36" East; thence along a 172.00 foot radius curve to the right having an arc length of 48.28 feet, a chord length of 48.12 feet and a chord bearing of South 08 degrees 12' 06" East; thence South OD degrees 10' 06" East 150.55 feet along the West line of Chapin Street; thence continuing South 04 degrees 44' 36" East 150.48 feet along the West line of Chapin Street; thence continuing South 00 degrees 10' 06" East 405.34 feet along the West-line of Chapin Street; thence South 89 degrees 54' 24" West 41.67 feet; thence along a 5,829.98 foot radius curve to the right having an arc length of 160.69 feet, a chord length of 160.68 feet and a chord bearing of North 73 degrees 37' 33" West; thence North 86 degrees 16' OS" West 77.87 feet; thence North 73 degrees 22' OS" West 51.54 feet; thence North 00 degrees 10' S1" West 22.69 feet; thence North 74 degrees 23' 21" West 138.37 feet; thence North 00 degrees 17' S 1" West 19.44 feet; thence North 73 degrees 47' S1" West 141.36
