586 <br />ry 27th., 1925. <br />Board met; in regular session at 9:00.A.M. All members present. <br />vim. Qualls Supt. of Poles and Wires took up matter of Indiana & <br />Michigan Electric Company not taking out permits for setting ' of poles. Complaint <br />filed with him Jan. 26th.9 <br />Clerk instructed to notify Indiana & Michigan Elea. Co. <br />to obtain a permit before setting poles in the City. <br />Excavation bond of Anthony Kujawski as principal and Republic <br />Casualty Company as 'surety approved, and ordered filet. <br />Report from Wm. Qualls Supt. of Poles and Wires in re complaint <br />of telephone company pole in way of the entrance to a garage at the first alley <br />intersection north of F9rd Street between Kosciuszko and Pulaski Streets. Recommend <br />pole moved -nearer to building about two feet. Report and recommend approved. <br />J. W. Fites Street Commissioner reported that,barriaodes had been <br />provided by the Street Department at south end of 23rd. Street and St. Joseph Street <br />as per order of January January 201,h., 1925. <br />Bids were received for -the printing of 7500 copies of notices of <br />condemnation. Bids submitted by Peerless Press $26,50 R. E. Johnson $36.50 <br />McClave Prtg. Co. 834.00 Baily Printing Co. 137.25 Aibberd Printing Co. $40.00 <br />Andrus Printing Co. $34.50 Awarded to Peerless Press. <br />The City Engineer submitted the list of property owners in the <br />matter of the appropriation of certain property under Condemnation Resolution No. 83 <br />for the Opening of i�street from Colfax Avenue to Lincoln way west and from. Marion <br />Street to Navarre Street( known as WILLIAM STREET) as per :resolution ,recorded. on paa,ggro�-_ __ _ <br />73 and 74 of this 12th. Record. Which list includes the names of the owners and hdlders <br />of property and of interest therein sought to be taken or beneficially or injuriously <br />affected$ and the description of the several pieces of property which is affected by <br />the said proceedings. <br />Thereupon the Bard proeeeded,to award the damages sustained, and to <br />assess the benefits accruing to each piece of property upon said list. <br />It was thereupon,_upon meti.on duly made and seconded and unanimously <br />adopted, resolved, that said list, together with the amounts of benefits and damages <br />and net benefits and net damages therein set forth as to the several parcels of land <br />be adopted and that the respective amount of benefits contained in said list be and are <br />hereby assessed against the several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said <br />lists, and that the respective amounts of damages contained in the said list be and <br />are hereby awarded -to the several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said list, <br />and that the net benefits or net damages, as the case may be as to the respective tracks <br />of land, contained, in said list , are hereby awarded 6.9 assessed, ss.the case may be <br />as to the said several tracts of land. <br />The Board hereby further sets off the benefits and damages each <br />against the other where both benefits and damages are assessed, against the same piece <br />of property, tract of land or interest, . and hereby fixes ssgid respective net benefits <br />as the amount that shall be paid by the respective owners as benefits, and further <br />hereby fixes the respective net damages as to the several tracts as the amountthat <br />shall be paid to the ©wners.of the respective tracts as damages. <br />Thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted <br />the? day of 1925 at 7:15 P.M. was fixed as the clay on which' <br />this Boadd will receive 4' ear remonstrances from persons with regard tothe amount <br />of the respective awards or assessments, and the Clerk of this Board was instructed <br />to prepare and cause to be duly -and legally given, notices to the owners of each <br />parcel of property, shoving t1le amount of the assessment or award, with a description <br />of the property affected, and the date of said hearing. <br />Claims as eviddneed by Vouchers numbered from 128 to 136 <br />inclusive were allowed., amounting to $2087.b9 <br />Pre icent. <br />Clerk of the Board. <br />
