Board met in, spe.cigti session at 7:15 P.M. All members present. <br />Deferred hearing had on Resolution No. 4 for separation of ggrade <br />of New York Central Ry., Company. Atty. Buozkowski present. Hearing deferroa <br />until Wednesday November 12th., 1924 at 9:00 A.M. <br />City Engineer instruet,ed.to pay,saiaary of John,T,aNeenan.Clerk <br />in the Engineering Departmef t up to October 31st., 1924. ° <br />Chief Lane took up matter of placing lights on Maggiefs Court <br />and Division Street. Referred to Inspector of lights. <br />Attest:- <br />CaClew - o <br />Wednesday October 29th.1 1924. <br />Presi nt. <br />Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members <br />present, <br />Concerning the Improvement of the roadway of Sorin Strree:t from <br />Notre Dame Avenue to Eddy Street in pursuance to Resolution No. 1423 the getitin <br />of freeholders resitting on said street :bs considered, and the report of the City <br />Engineer is received and evidence is heard, and the Board finds that said <br />petitioners do not constitute a majority of the freeholders resitting on said, <br />street to be improved, and hereby denies said petition. <br />And the City Engineer reports that the Harry N. Barnes is the. <br />lowest and best bidders for the kind of pavement heretofore adopted by the Board <br />and the Board finds atihd lets the contract for said improvements to him, and <br />orders that said improvement be made with Brick *tth a bituminous filler and <br />on a gravel rase and all proceedings heretofore had in this matter are hereby <br />confirmed and ratified.. <br />Condemnation Resolution No. 90 for the Widening f Webster <br />Street from Indiana Avenue to alley north, Reading as follows:, (-Insert see <br />files.) adopted and filed. <br />Vacation Resolution No. 92. for the Vacation of the alley north <br />of Ewing Avenue from Walnut Street to Morris Street. Also alley between Walnut <br />Street and Dorris Street from alley north of Ewing Avenue to a point 68 feet nob <br />north of the north line of the alley north of Ewing Avenue. reading as follows:- <br />-.(- Insert see files. ) adopted and filed. - <br />Partial estimates allowed as follows:- <br />nd <br />f Grade, curb and walk on Fellows Street i a firing Avenue to <br />under Various Walks contract allowed to E. T. Tranberg at........1799,60 <br />Grade, curb and walk on Streets in Lincoln Manor 2nd. Addition <br />StUved to Indiana Construction Co. at.....$4,667,28 <br />Guarantee bonds approved as follows: - <br />Pavement on Fisher Street from Chapin Street to McPherson St. <br />under Improvement Resolution No. 1289 for the sum of $1,678.00 signed by <br />The Albert Construction Company as contractor and 2The Ohio Casualty Compa ny <br />as sureties. Approved and bond ordered filed. <br />Pavement on Thirty third Street from Mishawaka Avenue to The <br />Grand Trunk Wester Railway Co. under Improvement ResolutiLon No. 1418 for the sum <br />of 139182.00 signed by The Albert Construction Company as eoni,ractor and The <br />Ohio Casualty Company as sureties. approved and bond ordered filed. <br />
