Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members present. y Mr. Geo. Toth appeared before the Board and presented a petition for the vacation of an alley in Noland's addition. Resolution ordered. Petition filed for opening of,Dayton Street thru to Robinson Street. Resolution ordered. Hearing had on resolution for grade, curb and walk on Dorothy ..Street fromPrairie Avenue to West, Ewing Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 1361- Property owners appeared and remonstrated but no written remonstrance .was filed. After heaping, the Board decides that the benefits to property liable ",to be assessed for said improvement, are equal to the estimated cost of the same, and the Board therefore nowconfirme the said resolution. Date 86r receiving "opening and considering sealed proposals for the constructiob of said sewer t fixed as 8th, day of July 1924. at 10:00 A.M. and notice thereof ordered pub- lished as provided by law. WHEREAS in many localities in the City of South Bend, public rights are being diverted to the use of private individuals for private purposes therefor it is resolved that on and after January 1,19259 gasoline pumps,oil, air and water apparatus for serving motor vehicles will not be permitted on side- Uid walks, parkways or other public property.
