<br />Concerning the improvement of the. roadway of Johnson St from Washington
<br />Ave toLineoln Way West in pursuance to Resolution No. 1302 the petition of freeholders
<br />residing on said street -is considered, and the report of the City Engineer is received,
<br />and evidence is heard, and the Board finds that said petitioners do not constitute a
<br />majority of the freeholders residing on said street to be improved, and hereby denies
<br />said petition.
<br />And the City Engineer reports that Harry N. Barnes is the lowest and best
<br />'bidder #or the kind of pavement heretofore adopted by the Board, and the Board so finds,
<br />and lets the contre;ct for said improvement to him, and orders that said improvement be
<br />made with brick pavement with bituminous filler, on gravel foundation and all pro-
<br />ceedings heretofore had in this matter are hereby confirmed and ratified.
