South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting –March 5, 2010

6. NEW BUSINESS

A. Public Hearing

(1) continued…

benefit each and every one of us. Without
that, it’s going to hurt each and every one of
us. Thank you.

MR. TIM DAVIS, 1132 N. Meade. I’m also
a member of Project Impact. I think the most
important thing that Project Impact has done
in my life is made me a better employee, a
better person. Now I know that those
problem situations that came up in previous
job experiences, I have a better
understanding of how to identify and resolve
those issues. If it wasn’t for Project Impact, I
was blaming the world for my problems.
Blaming everyone but myself. Project
Impact starts from the inside and moves
outward. In order for you to be a better
employee, or to keep a job, or to get a job,
you have to know your limitations, you have
to make sure have your values and morals in
tact. Project Impact has helped me and a lot
of other people that are in the program to do
just that. I want to thank Project Impact and
the staff, and I want to thank the board for
allowing Project Impact to do that.

MR. SHANE PETERS, 1333 N. Wilber. I’m
an outreach coordinator for Project Impact.
This was a pilot project. I’m an ex-gang
leader; I’m an ex-drug dealer; I’m an ex-
everything. Before Project Impact got
funded that first year I was part of Men of
Scars for about six or seven years. Just being
in a new environment that a lot of young
guys don’t have helped me change my life
totally around. By me being able to be on
9
