Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br /> <br />(1) continued… <br /> <br /> Bend Public Housing Authority for the <br />purchase of six properties, eight units, in the <br />Triangle Area. All of the properties are <br />vacant. The NNRO was able to negotiate a <br />price of $45,000 per unit for a total of <br />$360,000. We will move forward with <br />acquisition and demolition. There are still <br />eight properties to be acquired. <br /> <br />Mr. Downes asked how we are doing budget- <br />wise. Mr. Schalliol responded that there are <br />eight properties yet to be acquired. Three of <br />those are owned by a private owner who is <br />going to end up with new lots in the <br />development. We have purchased all the <br />property we intend to purcdhae as we are out <br />of money. The properties were a lot more <br />expensive than we anticipated. We are well <br />over budget. <br /> <br />Mr. Downes asked for an accounting of what <br />was spent. Mr. Schalliol will provide that. <br /> <br />Mr. Inks noted that South Bend Heritage <br />Foundation, on behalf of the NNRO, was <br />able to get additional federal funds to help <br />offset some of those increased costs. <br /> <br />CA <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />OMMISSION APPROVED THE SSIGNMENT OF <br />IN <br />NTEREST FROM THE ORTHEAST <br />Mr. Varner and unanimously carried, the <br />NR <br />EIGHBORHOOD EVITALIZATION <br />Commission approved the Assignment of <br />OCSB <br />RGANIZATION TO THE ITY OF OUTH END <br />Interest from the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Revitalization Organization to the City of <br />South Bend. <br /> <br /> <br /> 77 <br /> <br />
