Public Hearing <br /> <br />(1) continued… <br /> <br />Mr. Varner asked for a more explicit <br />explanation of the statutory use of those <br />funds. Mr. Leone checked the statute and <br />reported that the money in this fund is to be <br />used for job training, job enrichment, and <br />basic skill development that are designed to <br />benefit residents and employers in the <br />Enterprise Zone, or other purposes specified <br />in the statutes (which are the general <br />purposes for the Redevelopment <br />Commission). This particular fund has <br />additional uses over the general <br />redevelopment uses of TIF funds. <br /> <br />Mr. Downes asked whether the funds if <br />appropriated but not used in 2010, are carried <br />over to the following year. Ms. Leonard <br />responded that they are. <br /> <br />Mr. Inks noted that the public hearing file is <br />complete, containing a copy of Resolution <br />No. 2651, a copy of the Notice of Hearing, <br />and affidavits from the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri-County News that the Notice of <br />Hearing was published in those newspapers <br />on February 12, 2010. <br /> <br />PHRN.2651 <br />Ms. Jones opened the public hearing for <br />UBLIC EARING ON ESOLUTION O <br />anyone who wished to speak regarding <br />Resolution No. 2651. <br /> <br />Mr. Blake asked if there would be a later <br />opportunity for people supportive of Project <br />Impact’s Agreement for Services to be heard. <br />Ms. Jones responded that there would not be; <br />they should speak now. <br /> 5 <br /> <br />
