30 Service* Connections wth Mains- 1338 WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works on the ............. day of ... 192 .. . did alopt a resolution orlering and requiwing tier permanent improvement of Victoria Street. Scree, �� ifiatni Street. Street to.. a point 78.8 feet west of Fdgh Street. Street, by paving the roadway the same, and WHEREAS, the City Civil Engineer has prepancd and filed in the office of this Board a report showing the number and location of the service pipes, mains, c�ndutr, late ah. and connections which are, or will be necessary to accemrr.ceLte the abutting property and the owners thereof with gas. water, seise:, and other conveniences and necessaries: and also said City Givil Engineer has prepared and Mad in said office specifications showing the matey al to be used and the maner of laying said service pies inin% ci3tits, laterals and connections from the mains to the points in- side the curb lines. THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Workes of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the report of the City Civil Engineer is zdcptcd, aad sa'd ret crt and the specif caticr.s- prepared and f:Ld by him are made a part of this resolution as fully and effectually as if copied herein at full length; and it is fur- ther ordered tnat all of such pr.veta connectians with the sewer, gas, and water mains be made in said street by bringing them inside the curb lines thereof- And be it further resolved that notice by' publication for two succcssilve days in South Bend Tribune &News Times. a newspaper of general circulation printed and publ shed in the City of South Bend Indiana, be given to the owners of the property abutting upon said street to be improved directing them to lath., day 1924. make such sewer and water connections on or before the day of 192 —, and that if said connections are not made t on or before said time and in accordance with the speci- fications and report on file in the office of the Boa rd of the Public Works, they said Board Ykeill cause the same to be made and will asses the cost thereof against the property abutting crcn said street, and shall do all other things pertaining thereto according to the provisions and requirrrents cf Ordinance Into. 1842 adopted by the Common Council of the City of South Pend on July 24, 1916, and cf all cth, r crdinar.(es ' and law relating - thereto. And. be it further resolved • and ordered that after the 20 - day period has elapsed 'Cr the making cf said connection by the property owners, a na5ce shall be published for two weeks, once each week, in the South Bend Tribune & Neves TimPc_ , a newspaper of general circulatoo publshd in said city. requesting i bids from contraetors for the making of such connections as have not been mare by the property owners, and such notice shall fix a day, not earlier than ten days after the first of s3ch publications, when bids 'shail be opened and a contract let for the doing of said work.
