222" <br />Tuesday Aril S. 1 <br />A. report was received from i.he Street Xommissioner about the condition <br />of South Lafayette Street because of oonduot of Hurwich Iron Company. Mr. Hur- <br />wick appeared and said it mould be cleared up by today, April 8, 1924. <br />:Request was received from Piatz & Gild, *w close an alley between. Main <br />Street and Michigan.Street from -Wayne Street to 1st alley north of Wayne Street. <br />Building Commissioner Davis reported that 30. days would e sufficient time and <br />rhe6mmended that said Platz & Gill be permitted to close said alley the width of <br />the building; only at reak of 225-227 South Michigan Street for a period of thirty <br />days. Request granted in accordance with Building Commissioners recommendation.. <br />A petition was received and placed on file for Pavement on Fairview Ave <br />nue from Michigan Street to Fellows Street,. <br />A petition was received, read and referred to Pale and Wire' Inspector,. <br />for Lights on Fairview Avenue from Michigan.Street to Fellows Street. <br />A petition was received and resilutian ordered for Grading alley west of <br />Miami Street from Pennsylvania AVENUE TO Broadway. <br />Partial Estimate No. 4 for St. Peter Street Sub -Trunk Sewer was approved. <br />Board directed that Indiana & Michigan Electric Company be notified to <br />repair pole in front of 312 North Lafayette Street. <br />.Pole and Wire Inspector Qualls reported that Indiana & Michigan Electric <br />Company should be instructed to remove lights and poles and wires from the corner <br />of Main and Bronson Streets; so ordered. <br />The Western Union Telegraph Company was granted permission to place a <br />pole at the corner of Main and Bronsnn Streets in 9rder to shorten the cable <br />span that extends across Main Street o the Vandalic Railroad Station, pole to <br />be used jointly by said company and Indians & Michigan ELECTric Company. <br />9 C#mmunieation was received from C. W. Copp, Commander Major Wm..MdKinley <br />Camp No 58 Sons of Veterans, regarding condition of speaker's stand at' the City <br />Cemetery; same referred to sexton at gity Cemetery to make repairs, <br />A request was received from Chas. W. Slick regarding an extension of time <br />to Indiana & Michigan Electric.Company for -Aires across Lincoln Way East into <br />Slick's Laundry building; same granted and approved by the Board. <br />Petition received and -:read and resolution ordered for Asphalt Pavement on <br />alley between and parallel to Washington Avenue and Jefferson Street from Lafaay- <br />e tte Street to Williams Street. - <br />Building Department and Electrical Department each filed monthly.report; <br />same approved. <br />Contract for Grade, Curb and Walla on Roberts Street from Mishawaka <br />Avenue to Ruskin Street transferred from.
