<br />In reference to bids in the above matter the following form of notice,
<br />to be published in the South Bend Tribune and South Bend News Times March 28th
<br />1924 and April 4, 1924, was'approved by the Board:
<br />NOTICE TO PUBLIC AND CONTRACTORS.
<br />Notice is hereby given that, the Board o.f Pfzblic Works of the City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana•, did, on the 26th day of March, 1924, ado,t and place on file, in
<br />the office of said Board, plans and specifications for4<<htino the streets,
<br />alleys, boulevards, parks and public places in the City of South Bend, with
<br />electricity, tohether with form of proposal and form of contract to be entered
<br />into with the successful bideer, and did, on said day order that notice be given,
<br />to the public and contractors that sealed proposals for the furnishing, of lamps
<br />and light and the necessary maintenance of the same for the lighting. of streets,
<br />alleys, boulevards, parks and public places, in the City of South Bend, for a
<br />Period of ten years from and after January 1, 1925, in accordance with the plans
<br />and specifications so adopted and on file in the office of the said Board, would
<br />be called for and received by the said Board of Public Torks du:rin'g the meeting of
<br />said Board to be held at its regular meeting place in the office of the Board of
<br />Public 7Jorks, City Hall Building in the City of South Bend, at 10 o'clock A.M. on
<br />the lSth '^tr of Emil, 19?4,. The cost of such lighting service is estimated at
<br />Eighty Thousand Dollars per year.
<br />Each bidder shall file with his bid an affidavit that he has not directly
<br />or indirectly entered into any combination, collusion, undertaking or agreement
<br />with any other bidder or bidders to maintain the price of the service or contract,
<br />or to prevent any other bidder or bidders from bidding on such service or con-
<br />tract or to induce any bidder or bidders to refrain from bidding on such contract
<br />or service, that such bid is made without regard or reference to any other bids and
<br />without ar_y agreement, undertaking or e�ambination, wither directly or indirectly
<br />,rith any other person or persaes, firm or firms, corporation or eorporations,
<br />with reference to such bidding in any way or manner whatever.
