All memberpresent. <br />This being the date set for deferred hearing on Resolution No. 4 for <br />Crade Separation of Yew York Central Railroad, Attorney Yeagley appeared represent- <br />ing New York Central Railroad Company. Attorney Buezkowski appeared representing <br />certain property owners in West Side of City. Hearing continued until Wednesday <br />March 26, 1924 at 9100 A.M. , <br />MR. R. R. All members present. <br />On account of large number of property owners present meeting adjourned at 7:40 <br />P.M. to Common, Coanoil 'Pcooms in City Mall, City of South Bend. City Attorney <br />.Hammond and City Engineer Anderson present. <br />.Hearing had on Resolution for Paving of Washington Avenue from Michigan <br />Street to Lincoln slay East, and of Lincoln Way East from south line of Walilrgton <br />Avenue to the, South line of Sample Street . <br />No written remonstrance wp s fileo} <br />-Attorney �Pi ism �. Bertsch and Attorney ThomAs W. Slick appeared for <br />certain interested parties. Pmong citizens present were the following: <br />Hilton .Hammond, Elmer Doddridge, Robert Donmo-firer, Fred Keller, Percy.Walsh, <br />Dr. Kilmer, Mr. Moore and 'fir. Mueller. <br />Said hearing eas continued for one week, until Wednesday) March 19, 1924, <br />at :15 P.-M.. <br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 1292 for Fkvement on City hall <br />Court from Main Street to second alley wesi 8F Scott Street in the City of South <br />Bend, Indian. <br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and r_c written remonstr.,inc:e <br />was filed. -The Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the bene- <br />fits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are eoual to the estimat- <br />ed cost ofthe same, as reported by the City Civil ENgineer, and thereupon takes <br />final action on said resolution as originally adopted and -bhe same is hereby in <br />all things ra.-b!P ad, aorfirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 27th day of March, <br />1924 and on the 3rd day of April, 1924 in the South bend TRIBUNE AND South Bend <br />News Times in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the con- <br />struction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.-M. on the 15th day of April, 1924. <br />The Board reserves the right to reject any and.all rids. <br />Hearing had on Improvement.Resolution-No. 1291 for pkvement on Fox <br />Street from Michi7an Street to Fellows Street, in the City of South Band., Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance <br />was filed. Ehe Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the bene-- <br />fits to property liable to assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimat- <br />ed cost of the same, a.s reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes <br />final action on said resolution as modified to include retaining wall along <br />Bowman Creed, and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 27th day of March, <br />1924 and the 3rd day of April, 19249 in the South Bend TRIBUNE AND South Bend <br />News Times in said City stating that this Board will receive bids for the construct- <br />ion of said improvement up to 1-0:00 A.-M. on the 15th day of April, 1924. The <br />Board reserves the right, to reject any and all bids. <br />
