<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
<br />ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, STATE OF INDIANA9 thatit Is desired and deemed necessary to imp -rove
<br />Washington Avenue I from the east line of Michigan Street to the easterly line of Lincoln
<br />Way East, and Lincoln Way East from the south line of Washingtn Avenue -to thesouth line of
<br />Ssmple Street as follows,, to -wit'. -
<br />Said Washington Avenue and Lincoln Way East shall be railed and the roadways
<br />thereof shall'b4 paved, also the roadways of certain portians of the streets and alleys
<br />which enter or intersect said Washington Avehue and Lincoln Way East shall be graded and
<br />paved.
<br />The roadway of Lincoln Way East from the south line.of Washington Avenue to
<br />the first anhle south eastqrly from Columbia Street shall be widened to a width of fifty-
<br />two and one-half (521) feet, and the -roadway from,said ,angle to the south line of Sample
<br />Street shall be widened to a width of forty-five (45) feet,.
<br />The paving materiAl to be used.in making said improvement shall be -Sheet
<br />Asphalt, Bitulithic, Asphaltic Concrete or Brick, and thefoundation shall be portland
<br />cement concrete six (6-) inches thick for the sheet asphalt, bituli.thic,t, asphaltic concrete
<br />and bricks, also cement ciirb'siliAll be donstructed 41ong'Linooln Way East where same is neces-
<br />sary and not already construotedg manholes, storm water inlets and conduits shall be
<br />constructed where necessary; all manhole tops and storm water inlets shall be set to the
<br />proper grade, celment marginal curb shall be constructed at all street and alley intersect-
<br />ions where necessary, all is more.particularly shown and all in accordance with the plans
<br />profiles, detail drawings and specificatinns on file in the Office of the Department of
<br />Public Worksofthe City of South Bend, Indiana.
