South Bend Redevelopment Commission Regular Meeting –March 5, 2010 Commission accepted the staff report on TO BEGIN THE PROCESS TO ADD THE PROPERTIES AL TO THE CQUISITION IST acquisition of property in the South Side Development Area and authorized staff to begin the process to add the properties to the Acquisition List. (2) Resolution No. 2658 amending the South Side Development Area Development Plan and adding one or more parcels to the List of Properties to be Acquired. CRN.2658 Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by OMMISSION APPROVED ESOLUTION O SSD AMENDING THE OUTH IDE EVELOPMENT Ms. King and unanimously carried, the ADP REA EVELOPMENT LAN AND ADDING ONE OR Commission approved Resolution No. 2658 LP MORE PARCELS TO THE IST OF ROPERTIES TO amending the South Side Development Area A BE CQUIRED Development Plan and adding one or more parcels to the List of Properties to be Acquired G. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area (1) Assignment of Interest from the Northeast Neighborhood Revitalization Organization to the City of South Bend. Mr. Schalliol noted that the Northeast Neighborhood Revitalization Organization has negotiated an agreement with the South Bend Public Housing Authority for the purchase of six properties, eight units, in the Triangle Area. All of the properties are vacant. The NNRO was able to negotiate a price of $45,000 per unit for a total of $360,000. We will move forward with acquisition and demolition. There are still eight properties to be acquired. Mr. Downes asked how we are doing budget- wise. Mr. Schalliol responded that there are eight properties yet to be acquired.
