OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />TOB <br />There was no Old Business. <br />HERE WAS NO LD USINESS <br /> <br /> <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />A. Public Hearing <br /> <br />(1) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 2651 <br />appropriating tax increment financing <br />revenues from the Airport Economic <br />Development/Urban Enterprise Zone <br />Special Zone Fund for the payment of <br />certain obligations and expenses related to <br />the Airport Economic Development Area <br />and the Urban Enterprise Zone. <br /> <br />Mr. Inks noted that under state statute, for <br />areas of TIF districts that overlap with the <br />Urban Enterprise Zone there is required to be <br />established a fund. The monies related to the <br />increment from the overlap area are required <br />to be deposited in that fund. They can only <br />be used for certain job training programs. <br />The appropriation this morning is for the <br />funds being placed there in 2010. <br /> <br />Ms. Leonard noted that the amount of money <br />received in 2010 was $169,000. That, with <br />the unappropriated money left in the fund last <br />year, totals $355,000. Resolution No. 2651 <br />asks for an appropriation from that fund of <br />$350,000. <br /> <br />Mr. Varner asked for a more explicit <br />explanation of the statutory use of those <br />funds. Mr. Leone checked the statute and <br />reported that the money in this fund is to be <br />used for job training, job enrichment, and <br />basic skill development that are designed to <br /> 4 <br /> <br />
