Wray, filed partial estimate No. I for the <br />rading improvement of the first alley south of C lvert Street from Chapin Street to <br />endall Street, in accordance with the terms of tRe contract between the City and H. W. <br />Plumbeck, contractor, under Improvement Resblution No.I966. Board signed and approved <br />same in the amount of �76.50. <br />The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Hoban and Roach, contractors, <br />for the pavement of _ the Ist. , alley north of Marion street from Ma3.n Street to the Ist. , <br />alley east of Main 6treet under Improvement Resolution No.I958. Board approved samle <br />in the amount of 60.I4, which is I0% of the construction cost of same, signed by the <br />Southern Surety Co. <br />The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Hoban and Roach, contractors, <br />for the pavement on; Turnock Street from South Bend Avenue to Corby Street under Improve- <br />ment No.I862. Board approve,! same in the amount of $603.25 which is I0% of the cibnstrue- <br />ion of same, signed by the Southern Surety Co. <br />The Board approved the following Excavation Bonds <br />Excavation Bond of Louis Niesgodski in the amount of JI,000.00 signed by <br />the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Go. <br />il Excavation bond of Ernest C. Traver in the amount of $I,000.00 signed by <br />Ithe Columbia Casualty Co. <br />�! Excavation bond of Adoplh Dutrieux a Co., in the amount of $I,000.00 <br />signed by the Fidelity and Casualty Co., of New York. <br />Excavation Bond of United Heating and Plumbing Co., in the amount of <br />I,000.00 signed by the Fidelity and Casualty Co., of New York. <br />The New York Central Railroad Company, through Yx. Button, It's Grade <br />Separation Engineer, requested permission of the Board of Works to cons truct,i their cente <br />pieces at Lafayette Boulevard, in connection with the grade separation work, around the <br />existing sewer. The Board grated this request with the understanding that if this <br />arrangement of encasing the existing sewer was not satisfactory, the City of South Bend <br />would by p-ablic contract, divert the existing sewers on Main and Michigan Streets in <br />connection with the grade separation work at these points <br />City Zrigineer, Mr. H. G. 'Wray, filed primary assessment roll for the <br />sewer in Donald Street from the alley east of Leer street to Sampson *street under Impr <br />ment Resolution No.I798. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the <br />25th. , day of January, 19289 this Board will, meet in their office in the City HaS l- at <br />• 7-I5 P. 1., to hear -and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been <br />assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of <br />land primarily assessed for said improvement have been or will be benefited in the amount <br />named on said assessment roll or in a greater or less amount than that named on said roll <br />The Board fur Lher orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the Nth., <br />
