<br />Board met in regular session at 9 A.M. All members ::present. - 11,
<br />Minutes of meetings held August 30th., and August 3Ist., 1927, read and
<br />approved.
<br />The Board approved the following Guarantee Bonds:
<br />G-daarantee Bond of the `illiston" Construction Co., for the grader, curb,walk
<br />and pavement on Pulaski and C lvert Streets under Improvement Resolution No.I802.
<br />Bond for 4 2,043.34, which is O of the amount due the contractor, signed by Inland
<br />Bonding Co.
<br />Guarantee Bond of Edward Di Julio for the pipe sewer improvement on McKinley
<br />Avenue from `test line of Lot 58 Jefferson Park to Greenlawn Avenue under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.I835.- Bond forry290,62, which is I0% of the amount Clue the contractor,
<br />signed by the Inland Bonding Co.
<br />No petitions having been filed for a change of type of pavement other than
<br />that srecified in the reliminary order for the -.pavement of Parry �treet from Division
<br />Street m to 5th. , alley �outh of Division 'Street under Improvement Resolution No.I897,
<br />the Board this 6th. , day of September, 1927, hereby makes a final order for Sheet
<br />asphalt Heavy traffic, and awards the contract for said improvement to the Williston
<br />Construction Co., at their low bid of II,985.29.
<br />No petitions having been filed for a change of type of pavement other than
<br />that specified in the preliminary order for the -pavement of 26th. , Street from Jeffer-
<br />son Blvd., to Mishawaka Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I866, the Board this
<br />6th. , day of September, I927, hereby makes a final order for sheet asphalt heavy traffi
<br />and awards the contract for said improvement to the Rieth Riley Construction Co., at
<br />their low bid of 38,557.12.
<br />No petitions having been f'i.l d for a change of the type of pavement other
<br />than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Hoviard Street from
<br />South B nd Atrenue to the east line of Moreys Sub, under Improvement Resolution No.I889,
<br />the Board this 6th. , day of September, I927, hereby makes a final order for sheet
<br />asphalt heavy traffic as the type of pavement .rich w1.ich said street shall be improved
<br />and awards the con�ract for said improvement to Albert Construction Co., at their
<br />low bid of 12,948.80.
<br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll
<br />for the condemnation (easement) for the Northwest Trunk ''ewer under Condemnation Reso-
<br />lution No.I769.
<br />Upon the request of the attorney for the New York Central, the Board decides
<br />to continue hearing on said assessment roll until September I3th., I927.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the
<br />construction of sewers on Gladstone and Sheridan Avenues and alley South of Division
<br />Street under Improvement Resolution No.I785.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written
<br />remonstrance was filed, and the Board being fully advised in the premises, finds that
<br />the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement, have been
<br />benefited in -.hhe amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore, takes final action
<br />on said assessment roll, declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved,
<br />without modification, and she proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment
<br />roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
<br />• City 4rigineer, Mr. H. G. '.;rays submittted the following report on the
<br />f; remonstrance against the paving of Nash ourt:

<br />In the muter of the remonstrance against the pavement of Nash Oourt, there
<br />are I0 legal r0sfdcnt-property owners, 8 of whom have signed the remonstrance. This
<br />constitutes a majority, therefore I would recommend that no further action be taken
<br />in the matter,

<br />!' The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement
<br />resolution and declares same null and void and all former action taken on said resolu-
<br />tion is hereby rescinded.
<br />II The Board approved the recommendation of Vim. F. Qualls for the installation
<br />of a 4000 lumen light, mast arm construction and from overhead wires, at Kaley Street
<br />i
<br />on Lincoln Vday Test at a cost of--�45.00 per year. Same ordered.
<br />The Board approved the recommendation of k+m. F. Qualls for the installation
<br />(of a 1000 lumen light, bracket construction from over head lines, at a cost of 22.00
<br />on West Jefferson Street at the alley between Maple and :Walnut Street. Fame ordered.
<br />The Board approved the recommendation of Vim. F. � Qualls for the installation
<br />of one Business District Lighting Unit at the north-east corner of Michigan and LaSal.11el
<br />and also one at the south-east corner of the same intersection, at a cost of $5000
<br />
