<br />The Board signed the agreements with the Chicago, South Bend & Northern
<br />Indiana Rai lway . Company allowing them to take the ten year installment plan for their
<br />part of the cost of the pavement on Lincoln Way hest from LaSalle Avenue to Cottage
<br />Grove; on Lincoln Way West from Cottage Grove to Wilber Street; on Lincoln Way West
<br />from Wilber Street to Olive Street; on LaSalle Avenue from Main Street to Lincoln
<br />`Jay West.
<br />The Board signed the contract with Rieth Riley Constriction Go., for the
<br />pavement with Sheet Asphalt of Lincoln Way West from `Hest line of ottage Grove Avenue
<br />to Ylest line of Wilber Street under Improvement Resolution No.I8I4. Board also approved
<br />the constmetion bond of same in the amount of $90,459.75 signed by the Southern Surety
<br />Company.
<br />The Board signed the contract with the Northern Indiana Construction Co.,
<br />for the construction of sewer on Ridge Road, Ridgedale Road, Garland Road, under
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I87I. Board also approved the construction bond of same in
<br />the amount of _$3,665#00 signed by the Standard Accident Insurance Co.
<br />The Board signed the contract with H. N. Barnes for the construction of
<br />(grade, curb and walk on Huey Street from Keller 6treet to rtilarquette Avenue under Impro-
<br />lvement Resolution No.I820. Board also approved the construction bond of same in the
<br />amount of $3, I04. I5 signed by the NbwnYork .1ndemni.ty Co.
<br />The Board signed the contract with E. T. Tranber for the construction of
<br />;',pavement on the Ist. , alley west of Johnson Street from Prast treet to Lincoln Way West
<br />!under Improvement Resolution No.I877. Board also approved the construction bond of same
<br />,in the amount of "762.80 signed by the Employers Liability Assurance Corp.
<br />The Board approved the recommend tion of Mir. H. G. -Dray for the removal
<br />of the drinking fountain on Lincoln Iffay "lest between LaSalle Avenue and Cottage Grove
<br />Avenue, in connection with the pavement of Lincoln dray.
<br />The Board approved the petition of the Indiana & Michigan Electric �'ompa
<br />for a new pole line on St. Joseph Street between Victoria Street and Fox Street relie
<br />;Ewing avenue of the pole lines. '
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed an assessment roll for the pavement
<br />on Lafayette Blvd., from North line of alley nor:.h of North Shore Drive to `'ouch line
<br />of 1arquette Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.1755. Amount due 44illiston Const.,
<br />Co., contractors, 01,070.40. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders
<br />that said Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. I;., on July 27th.,
<br />I927, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed
<br />for said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the property so assessed
<br />for said improvement are or will be equal to the cost of same as shoe-m on the assessment
<br />roll. Board further orders that notice of said h aring shall be published on the 2lst. ,
<br />day of July and on the 22nd., day of July, I927, in the South Bend Nevis Times and Tribune

<br />in Bowman Street between Clyde and Sampson and in Clyde Street between Donald Street and

<br />540.25. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that said Board
<br />gill meet in their office in the City Hall at 7�15 P. Sri., pn July 27th., 1927, to hear
<br />'and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said
<br />improvement and -ill decide whether the benefits to the porperty so assessed for said
<br />Improvement are or will be equal to the cost of same as shown on said assessment roll.
