322 <br />Tuesday April 26th.9 1927. <br />Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All'memb ers present. <br />Minutes of meetings held April. I9th. , and and April 20th. , I927, read and <br />approved. <br />.This being the date set, no bids were received for the construction.of <br />a sewer -on -Sheridan Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.1786. <br />The Board approved the following contbactors bonds: <br />Peter Slaterits for �I,000.00'. <br />Louis Poczik for $I,000.00. <br />The Board approved the following excavation bonds: <br />John Wachowiak for I,000.00. <br />Upn the redommendat ion of Cit T iligine er, Mr. H. G. Wray, the Board signed <br />and approved the following partial estimates: <br />Partial estimate No.I for the pipe sewer in Donmoyer Avenue from Michigan <br />Stfeet to Fellows Street in a ecordanage with the terms of the contract between the <br />City and Rocco Simeri, Contractor. Board signed and a -proved same inthe amount of <br />r2,997.67. <br />Partial estimate No.I for the grade and walk improvement on LaSalle Avenue <br />from Sunnyside,Avenue to Ist., alley East of Sunnyside Avenue, in accordance with hhe <br />terms of the contract between the city and E. T. Tranber:, contractor under Improvement <br />resolution No.I777. Board signed and approved same in the amount of 6201.150 <br />The Board signed the contract with the Williston Construction Co., for the <br />construction of Asphaltic Concrete on Pulaski Street, Calvert Street and Dubail Avenue <br />under Improvement Resolution No.I802. Board approved the construction bond of same <br />for 100% of the contract price or $20,528.4I9 signed by the Inland Bonding Co. <br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, fildd the assessment roll for the South-east <br />Trunk Sewer system under Improvement resolution No.I635, Carl D. Traxler, contractor, <br />and the total amount dite. the contractor is I89,554.50. <br />In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on the Ilth., day of <br />May, 1927, this Board at it's office in the Gity Hall at 7-I5 P. M., will meet .to <br />hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for <br />said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land which <br />are assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the amounts shown on said <br />assessment roll or in a greater or less amount. Board further orders that notices of <br />said hearing shall be published on the 29th. , day of April and on the ,Gth. , day of <br />May, I927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. <br />The Board approved the drive way at -1Il16:South Bend Avenue for G. Kukla, <br />The Board approved the driveway for Sinclair Filling Station at the . <br />corner of Lafayette Blvd., and Broadway. <br />City Engineer, Mir. H. G. dray, filed the assessment roll for the opening <br />of streets and alleys in Jefferson Heights Addition under Condemnation Resolution <br />No#1770. <br />In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on the Ist., day of <br />June, 1927, this Board at it's office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., will meet to <br />hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been affected by <br />said Condemnation Resolution. Board further orders that notices be given property <br />owners according to law regarding the time of the hearing and the assessment of <br />damages and benefits. <br />City Engineer, T.r, H. G. .'Dray, filed plans and specifications and the <br />Board adopted a resolution for the pavement on Fairview Street from Miami to h1arine <br />Street Irvington Street from Miami Street to Tt,a.fine Street; Eckman Street from <br />.Miami Street to Yarine Street; 16arine Street from north line of lot 56 Ridgedale <br />Second Addition to the alley north of F irview Street under Improvement Resolution <br />No:I8I8. ( See files for copy of resolution.) <br />In the above matter, property ovrners waived all objections on and in <br />defence of said proceedings, whereupon the Board received, opened I and read proposals <br />for the construction of pavement under improvement resolution No.I8I8.
