0 <br />is <br />I <br />251 <br />The Board ordered-C�erk to prepare advertisement for proposals for <br />street signs, appropriation for th.e cost of same '-awing been included in the I927 <br />Budget. <br />TvTeeting .ad jou.rned at II-30 A. <br />rest en <br />le r <br />Wednesday evening, December I5th., I926. <br />Board let in regular session -at 7-I5 P. Y. All members present. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the Assessment roll for <br />the pavement on +rilliam Street from Washington Avenue to Colfax Avenue under <br />Improvement resolution No.I636. <br />In the above matter, Louis LaPierre, representing Clara L. LaPierre, <br />appeared before the Board and remonstrated against the .assessment of I460.52, asking <br />the Board to exercise their right of assessing back 150 feet from the improved <br />property, the LaPierre lot being a corner lot. After hearing the facts of the <br />case; the Board decides to take the matter under advisement until December I7th. <br />I926, when a special meeting: of the Board will be held. , <br />j This being the date set, hep_ring was had on the assessment roll for the <br />pavement on Broadway from Miami Street to Marine Street under Improvement Resolution <br />No.I727. <br />In the above matter, property oviners appeared remonstrating against <br />the condition of this pavement. A written remonstrance was read and filed, which <br />was signed b t e Chairman of the r <br />g y h ommittee of Property owne� s on this street. <br />Upon the recommendation of (."ity Engineer, T1,, . v. G.. Tray, the Board decides to <br />withhold 2,000.00 from the contractors -in order that the property owners may be <br />protected in this matter and in order, too, that the intersection charge of <br />822.02 may be paid out of the fund appropriated for that purpose this year. <br />The Board, therefore, decides that all of the lots and parcels of <br />land which have been assessed for said improvement, have been or will be benefited. <br />in the amounts shown on said roll and therefore, declares said roll, filed December <br />8th.2 I926, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings <br />closed. City Controller Y'r. Rudolph Ackerman; instructed to withhold 2,000.00 <br />on this roll from Reith Ailey Construction Co., until released by the Board of <br />Public 'Yorks. Board orders said roll delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />l This being the date set, hearings were had on the following Assessment <br />I <br />rolls: <br />Assessment roll for the pavement on Fairview Avenue from Michigan Street <br />to Fellows Street under Improvement resolution No.I683. ✓ <br />Assessment roll for the pavement on Almond Court from Notre Dame Avenue <br />to Ist., alley fast o" St. Peter 'street under Improvement resolution No.I709.�/ <br />Assessment roll for the pavement on iairview Avenue from Michigan Street <br />to 41ain Street under Improvement resolution No/I6S2. <br />Assessment roll for the'Grade, Curb and walk on Twenty-fourth Street <br />from North line of Jefferson Blvd., to North line of :'.`ashington Avenue under, <br />Improvement resolution No.I640. <br />Assessment roll for the Grade, Curb and Valk on streets and portions <br />of -streets in Homeland First and Second Additions under Improvement resolution <br />ITO.I634. � <br />Assessment roll for the Grade, rurb and walk on Grant Street from. <br />Indiana Avenue to Delaware Street under Improvement resolution No.I553.: <br />Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk on Washington Avenue from <br />
