<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following
<br />improvement resolutions:
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I722 for the pavement of Division Street
<br />from the west line of Olive Street to the Fast Line of Chicago Avenue.
<br />Improvement Resolution No. I72I for the construction of a sewer on
<br />Eldora Court from Lincoln ,,'ay East to a point 305 feet south of the Southerly line o
<br />Lincoln 'Way East.
<br />In the above matters, no remonstrators appeared and no written
<br />remonstrance was filed and the Board therefore, decides that the benefits to the
<br />properties, liable to be assessed for said improvements, are equal to the estimated
<br />cost of same, as filed by the City Engineer, and declares said resolutions in all
<br />things ratified, confirmed and approved.
<br />Board hereby orders that on the 8th., day of September, I926,at 7-A
<br />sealed proposals will be received for the construction of the pavement on Division
<br />Street under Improvement I,-eso lut ion No. I722 and also for the c o#structi on of the
<br />Sewer on Eldora Court under Improvement Resolution No.I72I. Board further orders that
<br />notices of said proposals be published according to law on the 27th., day of August
<br />and on the 3rd., day of September, I926, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune.
<br />City E ineer, I"r. ng , H. G. 17ray, filed plans and specifications and �
<br />the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of walk and curb on the "North
<br />side of Sample Street from Chapin ''treet to :,'alnut ''treet under Improvement
<br />Revolution No.I730.
<br />Board hereby orders that on the Ifth., day of September, I926,
<br />at the office of the Board in the City Hall at 7-I5, a hearing will be had for
<br />all persons interested in or affected by the above named resolution and will
<br />decide whether the beneftis to the property liable to be assessed for said improve-
<br />ment will be equal to the estimated cost of same. Board further orders that
<br />notices of this hearing be published according to law on the 27th., d^y of _'_ugust
<br />I926 and.on the 3rd., day of September, I926, in the South Bend Tribune and News
<br />Times,

<br />No.I683. Construction Bond signed by the Southern Surety Co., for I001� of the
<br />amount of the contract, I41249.I7.
<br />Reith Riley Construction Uo., for the construction of asphaltic
<br />concrete pavement on Victoria Street from r'ichigan Street to Main Street under
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I684. �'onstruction Bond signed by the Southern Surety
<br />Cp., for I00% of the amount of the contract,I4,835.80.
<br />The Albert Construction Co., for the construction of sheet asphalt .
<br />pavement on LaSalle Avenue from Lddy Street to Sunnyside Avenue under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.I7II. Construction Bond signed by the Inland Bonding Co., for I00%
<br />of the amount of the contract, I8,550.37.
<br />The Albert Oonstruction Co., for the construction of sheet asphalt
<br />pavement on Lsther Street from Jefferson Blvd,-.; t6 r?cKinley Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.I693. Construction Bond signed by the Inland Bonding Co., for I00%
<br />of the amount of the contract, n,342.98.
<br />The Albert Construction Co., for the construction of sheet asphalt
<br />pavement on the center strip of IBortage Avenue from Keller Street to "'ilson Street
<br />under Improvement Resolution No.I692. Bond signed by the Inland Bonding Co., for I

<br />Bids were received, opened and considered for• the furnishing,
<br />lighting and maintaining each Sheriden I0 ft., hollow spun concrete lighting
<br />Standard complete with Octagonal Junior Lighting unit and standard Film 'ocket each
<br />;quipped with I-I000 lumen 6.6 ampere 'series `='treet lighting lamp in Sunnysede
<br />Second a nd Third "ddition--- 30.00.
