<br />Bids having been received for the pavement of Fairview Avenue from
<br />1-Tichiga.n Street tp Main Street under Improvement Resolution No.I6821, the Board
<br />this 4th., day of August, I926, makes a preliminary order for Asphaltic Concrete
<br />as the trpe of pavement with w'-ich said street shall be improved and sets the
<br />I7th.., day of August, 1926, as the day on which _said Board will either pass on
<br />petitions for the changing of type of pavement, award said contract or reject all
<br />bids.
<br />The Board signed the contract - ith the Reith Kiley Construction Co.,
<br />for the pavement of Irvington Avenue from the alley East of Erskine Blvd., to
<br />rTiami Street under Improvement Resolution No.I663. Board also approved the
<br />bond for the construction of same, it being; TOO of the amount of the contract
<br />price, I5,474,73 signed by The SRuthern Surety Co.
<br />The'Board signed the contract !,,ith the Reit'llh. Ailey Construction Co.,
<br />for the pavement of Fairview Avenue from the EII.st Line of Studebaker Place 1"'-ddition
<br />to Miami Street under Improvement Resolution No.I662. Board also approved the
<br />construction bond for same in the amount of I4,839.68, it being IOO � of the
<br />amount of the contract price.
<br />The Board approved the follo:n,Ti.ng bills for the testing of asphalt
<br />paving mixtures from the Van Trump Testing Labrato_ry. These bills to be paid
<br />out of the Intersection fund and the amounts w:rill.,be collected on the Assessment
<br />rolls, which according to advise from "r. Romig, 6ity Attorney, will be satisfactory.
