<br />Board met in regular session at 9 A. 1.1. All members present.
<br />Yinutes of meetings held July 27th., and July 28th., I926, read
<br />and approved.
<br />Board approved the following bonds:

<br />Upon the recommendation of `:"gym. F. Qualls the f olloirring,-y lights
<br />were approved and ordered:
<br />%I I000 lumen light to be changed at Jefferson and °Valnut streets to a 4000 lumen light,
<br />so located that it will shine down Jefferson Street. Cost 23,00 per year. �

<br />2500 lumen light in the middle of the block between T:frall and rr'ishawaka Avenue on
<br />Twenty Seventh Street. Cost 35.00 per year.-
<br />2500 lumen light at the intersection of Nursery Court and the second alley east of
<br />28th. 6treet .
<br />4000y-lumen light at the corner of T."iner Street and Sunnyside Avenue. Oust 45.00 per
<br />year.
<br />Board also approved the installation of a traffic light at the
<br />corner of Olive and Division Streets.
<br />Upon the recommendation of City Attorney, I. S. Romig, the
<br />board hereby decides that all plats must be recorded with the County"Recorder within
<br />28 days after plat has been approved. Otherwise the bla-ts will not be accepted.
<br />City Engineer submitted the following partial estimates:

<br />City Engineer, T.r. N. !'_. 77ray, filed ".ssessment Roll for the
<br />grade, curb, walk and pavement improvement on William Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.15I7. In the above matter., the Board hereby orders that on the
<br />IIth., day of August9 I926, this Board at it I s o ff ice in the City Hall at 7415
<br />P. Y.J. will hear and receive all persons in t erested in or affected by said proceed-
<br />ings and will decide whether the the property has been or :.rill be benefited in the
<br />amounts named on said roll, or in a greater or less sum than that named on said
<br />roll. Board further orders that notices of said .'ssessment Roll hearing be published
<br />according to law.
<br />No petitions having been filed for a. change of type of pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order, the Board this 3rd., day of
<br />-'ugust, I926, hereby makes a final order fdr Sheet Asphalt as_ the type of pavement
<br />with which Colfax -venue shall be improved under improvement resolution No.I68I and
<br />awards the contract for said improvement to the "illiston Construction at their low
<br />bid of I3,98I.55.
<br />?'.`ayor C . R . ':`ontgomery, Ernest . Young, Architect, and B . J .
<br />En.gledrum of the Board of Saf6#Y met with the Board regarding the erection of the
<br />Fire Station in river Park. Ernest Young submitted plans and specifications which were
<br />approved by the Board. The Board orders that on the I7th. , day of August I926,
<br />this Board will receive, open and consider sealed proposals for the construction
<br />of nose House No.91 in river Park. Board further orders that notices of said
<br />proposals be published according to law on the 4th. , day of August and on the IIth. ,
<br />day of August, I926 in the News Times and South Bend Tribune.
<br />Board approved the plat of St. lParyls View Addition to the City
<br />of South Bend with the following dedication:
