<br />Hearing had the pavement Improvement for 'lmond Court from Notre Dame
<br />izvenue to the first alley East of St. Peter Street under Improvement Resolution.

<br />In the above matter, remonstr,ato-k?s appeared but no written remonstrance
<br />was filed. 1>fter hearing all persons interested in said improvement and finding
<br />that there were 91xrproperty owners present in favor of the improvement and only
<br />three against it, the Board decides to over rule the remonstrance. Board further
<br />fines that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement
<br />are equal to the estimated cost thereof, as estimated by the City Engineer, and
<br />the Board therefore decides to 'sustain all former action of the resolution and
<br />declare same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

<br />under Improvement Resolution No.I707.
<br />In the above matter remonstrators appeared but no written remonstrance
<br />was filed and after hearing all persons interested in said improvement and finding!
<br />that there were five property owners present in favor of the improvement with only
<br />three against it, the Board decides to over rule the remonstrance. Board .further

<br />are equal to the estimated cost of same, as reported by the City I'ngineer, and
<br />the Board, therefore, decides to sustain all former action on said resolution

<br />was filed and after hearing all persons interested in said improvement and finding
<br />f that there were six in favor of the improvement with only five against same, the
<br />the Board decides to overrule the remonstrance. Board further finds that the
<br />benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal
<br />to the estimated cost of same, as reported by the �'ity Engineer, and the Board
<br />therefore, decides to sustain all former action on said resolution and declare
<br />same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

<br />LaSalle -venue to a point 7 feet :'est of the ''est line of, Lawndale °Avenue rtnning
<br />Southerly from Lincoln lay lest, under Improvement F.'esolution No.I7O4.
<br />Tayor C.I. TTontgomery appeared and gave a very interesting talk on this
<br />proposed improvement. About thfr�ryproperty owners. were present, all against the
<br />project of paving Lincoln '''.ay pest. after hearing the Ynyor's talk in favor
<br />of thesimprovement of this m-in thoroughfare and being assured by the T.Tayor
<br />and the Board that their wishes in this matter would be respected, the "Tayor
<br />asked for a vote on the proposition of paving the street, widening same so as
<br />to save the shade trees where ever possible, but withT.olding bids on the,.improvement
<br />until early next `'pring. Twenty six property owners voted in favor of this
<br />sulggestion of the Yayor and the Board, therefore, decides to sustain all former
<br />action. on said resolution and finds that the benefits to the property liable
<br />to be assessed for the improvement are equal to the estimated cost thereof, as
<br />reported by the City. Engineer, and therefore, declares said resolution in all
<br />things ratified, confirmed and approved,all,to _thesatisfe-etion of the entire
<br />group of property owners present.

<br />The Board accepted the assignment of the contrnet for the construction
<br />of a sewer on South Street under Improvement Resolution NoI649, from C.17. F-'eesh
<br />to John F. Hipskind. Board also approved the construction bond of John F.
<br />Hipskind s- fined by the Globe Indemnity Lo., for the --mount of the eontract,
<br />479I.60 and cancelled the bond signed by the !�`etropol.itan gasualty Ins. Co.,
<br />for the same amount.
<br />Boy-,rd aceepted the assignment of the contract for the construction
<br />!� of a sewer on Yonroe Street under Improvement Resolution No.1648 from C. E. Reesh
