<br />Board met in regular session at 7-15 P.11. All embers present.
<br />Hearing had on the following improvement resolutions:
<br />I608, for pavement on Roberts Street from Mishawaka Avenue to Ruskin
<br />Street.
<br />41609, for pavement on Oakside Street from Michigan Street to Fellow
<br />Street.
<br />#1610, for pavement on Carlisle Street from Division Street to N.J.I.I.
<br />R.R.Co..
<br />§1612, for pavement on Pokagon Street from Leeper Avenue to Tecumseh
<br />Avenue.
<br />Upon said hearings no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were
<br />filed. The Board, being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits
<br />to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated
<br />cost of same, as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupon takes final action
<br />on said resolutions, as originally adopted, and the same are hereby in all things
<br />ratified, confirmed and approved.
<br />Be it further resolved that notices be published on the loth day od
<br />April and on the 17th day of April in the South Bend Tribune and the News Times,
<br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements
<br />up to 10:00 A.M. on the 27th day of April 1926. The Board reserves the right to
<br />reject any and all bids.
<br />Hearing also had on the following improvement resolutions:
<br />#1611, for pavement on Grant Street from Division Street to N.J.I.I.R.R

<br />Upon said hearing, no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were

<br />tomproperty liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated
<br />cost of same, as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on
<br />said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified,

<br />Be it further resolved that notices be published on the 24th day of
<br />April and on the 1st day of May, 1926 in the South Bend Tribune and the News Times,
<br />stating that this Board :ill receive bids for the construction of said improvement
<br />up to 10:00 A.M. on the morning of the 4th day of 11ay, 1926, The Board reserves the
<br />right to reject any and all bids.
<br />Hearing also had on Improvement Resolution § 1615 for pavement on
<br />Lafayette Street from south line of Angella Avenue test of Lafayette Street to the
<br />South line of Parkovash Avenue.
<br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were
<br />filed, and this Board, being fully advises in the premises, decides that the benefit
<br />to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated
<br />cost of same as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupor, taken final action on
<br />said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified,
<br />confirmed and approved.
<br />The Board, however, finds that there are no water mains on said street,
<br />and therefore no bids can be advertised for and no contract can be let until ar-
<br />rangements are made with the stater Department for said water mains.
<br />Hearing also had on (improvement Resolution Y"16i4 for pavement on Meade
<br />Street from Division Street to Sample Street.
<br />In the above matter, the Board finds that a resolution adopted on the
<br />30th day of March, 1926, for pavement on Meade Street from the New York Central
<br />Tracks to Sample Street, takes care of the aforesaid section as mentioned in resolur-`:
<br />tion r 1614 "and therefbre, decides to rescind all former action on said Improvement;

<br />Upon the recommendation of City Attorney, I.S.Romig, the Board adopted
<br />the resolution to receive bids for lighting of streets and alleys and public places
<br />in Ridgedale Addition to the City of South Bend, Indaiana.
<br />In the above matter, the Board hereby orders notices of said resolution -
<br />to be published in the South Bend Tribune and the News Times on the 2nd bay of April
<br />and on the 9th day of April. Said Board, at its office in the City Hall, on April
<br />20, 1926, at 10:00 A.1JI. will receive bids for said street Iighting.Board reserves
<br />the right to reject any and all bids.
