IM <br />Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.11. All members present. <br />Hearing had on resolution for grade, curb and walk on High Street from <br />aving Avenue to Fairview Street, as provided in improvement Resolution No. 1590. No <br />remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed. The Board therefore find <br />that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to <br />the estimated cost of the same, and said resolution is now confirmed. Date for receivin <br />opening and considering seUed proposals fixed as November 24th., 1925 at 10:00 A.11. <br />j and'notice thereof ordered published as provided b y law. <br />Hearing had qn resolution for pipe sewer on Beyer Avenue from°Mishawa <br />Avenue to the northwesterly line of lot 43 in the Replat of Beyer's 2nd. Addition as <br />provided'in improvement Resolution No, 1593. No remonstrators appeared and no -v�rritten <br />remonstrance was filed. After hearing all interested parties present, board decides <br />that the benefits to.property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to <br />the estimated cost of the same, and the Board therefore now confirms the said resoluti <br />Waiver signed waiving advertising for bids, approved and bids were hereby submitted <br />for the construction of said sewer and are hereinafter spread on this record. <br />Hearing had on resolution for pipe sewer on Smith Street from Olive <br />Street to Huey Street, as provided in improvement Resolution No. 1591. No remonstratoro <br />appeared and no written remonstrance was filed. After hearing all interested parties <br />present, board decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said <br />improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same, and the Board therefore now <br />Ij confirms the said resolution. Date for receiving, opening and considering sealed pro- <br />j, posals fixed as November 24th., 1925 at 10:00 A.M. Notice thereof ordered published i <br />(j as required by law. <br />Hearing had on resolution for pipe sewer on Grace Street from the R3 <br />alley west of Webster Street to a point two hundred and seventy five ( 2751) feet east <br />of the center line of Arnold Street, as provided in improvement -Resolution No. 1592. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed. After hearing all inti <br />ested parties present, board decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessei <br />for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same, and the Board there- <br />fore now confirms the said resolution. Date for receiving, opening and considering <br />sealed proposals fixed as November 24th., 1925 at 10:00 A.1% Notice thereof ordered <br />published as required by law. <br />Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for Widening <br />roadway and brick and Mexican Sheet asphalt pavement on Michigan Street from a point <br />280 feet south of the south line of Bronson Street to north curb line of Broadway, <br />as provided in improvement Resolution No, 1451. <br />In the above matter as remonatratorsappeared anda written remon- <br />strance was filed. The Board after hearing all interested parties present, therefore <br />find that the property assessed in said roll filed October 27th., 1925 is benefited <br />in the amount as shown on said roll, and the Board further find, that the assessment <br />roll filed October 27th., 1925 and the final estimate allowed October 27th., 1925 shoul <br />be and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved, and upon <br />recommendation from City Engineer, the City Controller requested to withhold the sum of <br />$1,000.00 until low places and drainage is improved to the satifaction of the City <br />Engineewtxg. <br />Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for Mexican Sheet' <br />asphalt pavement on Sample Street from Ely. curb line of 13rairie Avenue to west curb line <br />of Lafayette Street under Improvement Resolution No. 1485 Filed October 27th., 1925. <br />Atty. Strickland representing the Studebaker Corporation appeared and objected to `. <br />number of feet assessed, said hearing continued to Tuesday November 10th., 1925 at <br />10:00 A.ui. <br />Hearing had on roll of awards of damages and assessments of benefits <br />for the Vacation of Court lying al ong the south line of South Bend '.latch Company's <br />property from Esther Street to the alley west of 18th., Street under Vacation Resolu- <br />tion No.101. <br />In -.`:ter no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- <br />strance was filed.Thb. Board.therefore declare the above roll filed September 22nd., 192 <br />is hereby in all things ratifiedg,confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. <br />Bids were received opened and read for sewer on Beyers Avenue from <br />11ishawaka. Avenue to Lot 43 in Beyer's Addition. Bids submitted by I,. H. `ebster, <br />H. V. Arnberg and Rocco Simeri. ( Insert see files for original bids. ) Contract <br />awarded to L. H. 'iIebster lowest and best bidder. <br />
