<br />ENGINEERING DEPART-rlENT The Board approved the plan for the proposed drive -way for the
<br />H. D. Lee Mercantile Co., at 405 E. 1Iadison St.
<br />h occupancy bond in the amount of $1000.00 was received for Oden R. Robertson,
<br />this bond was approved and ordered filed.
<br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the report of the Traffic
<br />• Engineer, Ernest ?biller, be accepted and that the petition of the Smith-lllonroe Co,,
<br />1912 S. 1,11a n St., to cut back the curb in front of their place of business, be denied.
<br />This ceing the date set for the nearing on the resolution heretofore adopted by
<br />the Board for the vacation of the alley North of Corby Blvd., from Frances St., to
<br />Eddy St., except the North and South intersecting alley, and the hearing on said
<br />resolution having been set for 10:00 A. M. on the 24th day of March 1941 and publica-
<br />tion having been made in the South Bend Tribune and the South Bend Mirror on the
<br />7th day of March and the 14th day of I,iarch, 1941, respectively, and being now 10-30
<br />A. Imo. on March 24th, and no remonstrances having; been filed 'vrith the Board, and no
<br />one having appeared in opposition to said resolution, it was moved, seconded and un-
<br />animously carried that the resolution #2505 vacating said alley be finally adopted
<br />• and said alley be vacated.
<br />The Engineering Department is directed to prepare an assessment roll covering the
<br />benefits and damages to the surrounding property.
