-83 , <br />MEETING -- JANUARY 20, 1941 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, January 20, 1941 <br />at 9:00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the last meeting were read <br />and <br />approved. Salary claims in the amount of $5,893.96 were approved and ordered <br />paid. <br />Claims of the following suppliers, in the amount of $123.35 were approved and <br />ordered <br />paid. <br />J. Additional Payroll <br />40.00 <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Tony Zmudzinski, Street Commissioner was authorized to <br />have the <br />Model §20 tractor repaired at an approximate cost of $100.00, the work to be <br />done by <br />the Cockrell Tractor Co., Ft. Wayne, Indiana. <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the awarding'of the <br />contract <br />for the motor power grader be held over until January 27, 1941. <br />The.Blue Lines, Inc., presented their annual report for the year 1941. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTpTENT: Mr. Allen C. Boggs, Superintendent of Construction of <br />the Standard <br />. <br />Gil Co., presented plans for curb cuts, one for the station located at Oliver <br />and <br />Western, with a 30' curb cut on G-live St. The other is for.the station located <br />at <br />Gakside and Michigan Sts., ,riith a 30' curb cut on Oakside St. Both requests <br />were <br />approved by the Board. <br />A continuation certificate was received -for Edward J. White, on his excavation <br />bond. This certificate was approved and ordered filed. <br />A petition was received for the grading of the alley South of Jennings Ave., from <br />Michigan St., to the alley West of Michigan St., which petition was turned over to the <br />Engineering Department. <br />• ELECTRICAL DEPART ENT: It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried, that a 6000 lumen, <br />mast arm construction light be installed at the intersection of Mishawaka Ave., and <br />Ironwood Drive, to replace the 2500 lumen light at this intersection, which was recently <br />damaged. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at, 12:30 P.
