MEETING -- SEPTEMBER 17, 1940 <br />A contractorts bond was received for John Rose and John T. Carter, in the amount of <br />$1000.00, which bond was approved and ordered filed. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURES: Mr. Charles J. Burns presented his report for the week ending <br />September 16, 1.940. <br />ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT: On the recommendation of Mr. Qualls, the Board approved the in- <br />stallation of two 2500 lumen boulevard lights on the North side of Western Ave., from <br />Main St., west to the alley. <br />Also, the installation of 4000.1umen light at the intersection of College and <br />Bergen Sts., and a 2500 lumen light at the intersection of Marquette Blvd., and Brook- <br />field St. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at 11:45. <br />MEETING -- SEPTEMBER 23, 1940 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, September 23, <br />1940, at 9:00 A. J. DeGrove for remodeling the <br />building at 1019 E. Corby St., which remodeling will cause an additional encroachment or <br />city property beyond the property line. These plans were approved subject to the <br />conditions of a waiver signed by the owner Ben Plotkin and wife, executed and filed by <br />the Board on the 21st day of May, 1930, which waiver can be found in the minutes of the <br />,.Board of' Works in Book #15, page #103. <br />Plans for cutting a driveway in front of the property located at 215 S. La Fayette <br />St., occupied by the Moulder Motor Co., were approved by the Board. <br />A continuation certificate on the bond for Charles E.
