MEETING -- DECDABER 26 1939 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Works was held on Tuesday, December 26, 1939 <br />at 9: A. M. All members. were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read <br />and approved. W. Cripe was present and presented a layout of garbage pickup by the week and <br />district for the collection of garbage starting January 1st, 1940. Mr. Cripe requested <br />the Board and the Mayor to sleet either Thursday or Friday to inspect the new trucks <br />and to have some pictures taken in order that the public may be advised regarding the i <br />districts and when the new setup will begin. <br />STREET DEPARTMIMIT: Yr. Tony Zmudzinski of the Street Department was present and business <br />pertaining to his department was discussed. <br />CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Mr. Lisle IrlcNabb of the Cemetery Department was present and <br />•business pertaining to his department was discussed. <br />ENGINEERING DEPART1,IEiIT: Continuation certificates on excavation bonds were approved <br />for the following um ers: William H. Burke/Robert L. Thorpe,✓Emil Spro. erg,✓ <br />d. L. Zimmerman, . Carlton`iAoore,-/Arthur % Deppert /and Harry Nicodemus. <br />0. J: Shoemaker was authorized to install the necessary piping in the City Hall <br />to connect the present steam heating system to the 411 steam connection of the St. <br />Joseph Heating Co., in accordance with his proposal of August 7, 1939. The amount <br />of his proposal for labor and materials equaled $575.00 plus the cost of the thermo- <br />staticaly operated motorized valve, estimated at $225.00 for the main building, and <br />thermostaticaly operated motorized valve for the council chambers, estimated at <br />$87.50. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at I2:10 A.
