STREET DEPARTMENT: The Street Commissioner was present to discuss matters concerning <br />his epartment. He was ahthorized byythe Board to purchase one thousand (1.,000) pounds <br />of hickory broom straw at .075 per lb. for sweeping of streets. He was further author-'- <br />ized to buy eight thousand gallons-(1 tank car) of #4 road oil from the Standard Oil <br />Company at .0316 per gallon. This will be re -sold to individuals, if they so request, <br />for .05 a gallon. The mark-pp.in price is estimated to take care of the overhead in- <br />volved in handling this oil. <br />,/Mr. Zmudzinski reported that the t ires on a street grader need retreading. He was <br />authorized by the Board to have these tires repaired or replaced. fir" <br />j <br />The Commissioner asked permission to have the street signs in the Erskine Additio; <br />repainted and also requested that the street sign posts in the Coquillard Addition be <br />pared. The Board granted both requests. <br />A letter was presented to the Board from the Flexible Steel Rod Company regarding <br />the purchase of a scraper. This matter was discussed and the correspondence referred <br />to R .
