MEETING--APRIL 10,• 1939 STREE,rP DEPARTI.IENT : ir. Zmudzinski was present and matters pertaining to his department were dis- cussed. Gordon D. Keller of 1026 Emerson Avenue reported to the Board that the property west of his residence is being used as a dumping ground. He requested that something be done to discontinue this practise. The Clerk of the Board.was instructed to nct,;Lfy the Street Department and the Chief of Police. /Excavation bond in favor of Mel. S. Niemier was approved by the Board. Conboy 62.00 / he :Westinghouse lamp contract with Il cCaffery Company, Inc. was returned fully signed. This contract is on file in the office of the Board. Zmudzinski reported '"to the Board_ that "Nio Dusr_ning" signs had been erected on the property w1h1ch had been called to his attention. ✓ DeWitt Ingleright appearted before the 3oard and requested a re -spread of delin- quent assessments. on Lot 2 in Tuxedo mark First Addition. In the opinion of the City Attorney no Iegal`rzeans are available for distribution of assessments against property on Vich the assessments have become delinquent. Mr. L. Harmon appeared before the Bo€rd regarding a complaint he had filed pre- viously against the city. .for damages incurred to his car by a manhole cover on South Main 'Street. The matter was referred to the City Attorney,; for further consideration. Mr. William Busse of the Krearno Bai>ery appeared and requested (:permission to erect a flagpole in front of t1ae ba'_ er-; between the sidewalk and curb. Permission was not granted. He was advised to place the pole within his own property; line or on the roof of the building. /A petition was received from forty-six citizens requesting= the erection of a scree light over the railroad crossing- at Lon -ley Avenue, between College and Brookfield Streets. The matter was referred to the Electrical Department. v A hearing of interested parties was had relative to the changing of the Bendix busline from Linden Avenue to ;Washington Street. Ina_snuch as the Board received an additional _petition recuesting that this change be not made, the clatter was tabled for future consideration. ✓Continuation certificate coverin- contractor's bond in favor of Frank Sailer was approved by the Board.
