Minutes of the previous meeting were <br />read and approved. Claims for payroll in the amount of %0473.50 and of McClave Printing <br />Company in the amount of �>15.50 were approved and ordered paid. <br />This being the date set for hearing of final assessment roll on Vacation Resolution <br />No. 2499, which has to do with the vacation of Wayne Street from St. Louis Blvd. West <br />and also alleys in Howard Park w1aich had not been previously vacated, and no remonstrant' <br />having been filed and no one having_ appeared in opposition to said assessment roll, said, <br />assessment roll is now approved ana confirmed and damages and benefits are finally <br />assessed as stated therein. <br />✓IY'Ir. Zmudzinski, the . Street Coinmission.er, was present and discussed with the Board <br />the possibility of purchas".nng pushcarts for the purpose of cleaning streets. He was <br />advised by the Board to ascertain prices on these c��rts. Mr. Zmudzinski filed an in- <br />ventory of all tool equipment in his department as of January 16, 1939, as had been <br />previously requested by the Board. <br />Qualls was present and discussed the lighting situation in the underpass at <br />Western and '?Yalnut Streets. He said these lights. are regulated by an electrically con- <br />trolled clock whi ch furnishes power at that 1 oint from. ohm dour after §upset and until <br />one hour before;anrise. These lights are tied in with t =le general lighting system. <br />/1f.
