Vest Printing Co. <br />8.35 <br />Zeltner Hardware 1 <br />15.05 <br />Continuation Certificate covering Excavation bond in favor of Rocco Simeri was <br />approved and filed with the original bond. <br />VA petition requesting the installation of a street light on 'West Madison Street <br />at the alley intersection between Main and Lafayette Blvd. was approved and Mr. Qualls <br />was intructed to order the Indiana Michigan Electric Company to Make the installation <br />at once. <br />r'A petition requesting th-e installation of a street light on Elwood Avenue in the <br />vicinity of Brookfield. And Johnson Streets was presented and referred to Mr. Qualls <br />for investigation and recommendation. <br />�A request was received from the Indiana Michigan Electric Companyfbr permission <br />o reconstruct an existing manhole at the interesection of South Street and Main Street <br />. <br />in accordance with their drawing No. 138-261. Mr. Qualls reported that this was for <br />replacement of an :old style brick construction manhole and recommended that the pe- <br />ition be granted. The Board accordingly authorized the installation. <br />1 A communication was received from the Common Council requesting that the Board <br />of Public Works proceed to make application for a Yy.P.A, grant for the river crossovers <br />pumping station and sewage disposal plant. It was therefore moved, seconded and regul- <br />arly carried that the City Engineer be authorized to prepare the necessary plans for <br />filing a I.P.A. project for the sewage disposal plant, river crossovers and pumping <br />station as requested by the Common Council and appropriation made therefore on Novem- <br />ber 5th and December 5, 1938. <br />Further that the City Engineer be authorized to hire such necessary help as may be <br />ecessary and make such expenditures as are needed in order that said project may be <br />filed before January 1, 1939, but such expenditures shall not exceed the amount of <br />oney heretofore appropriated by.the Common Council to the City Engineer for W.P.A. <br />ro jects. <br />✓ This being the date set for hearing of Vacation Resolution No. 2.499, same being <br />vacation of Mayne Street from St. Louis Blvd. west, also alleys in Howard Park previous- <br />19, not vacated ; there being no remonstrances and no remonstrances being filed, this <br />Resolution was approved by the Board and ordered referred to the Engineering Department <br />for the purpose of compiling assessment roll showing benefits and damages. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:00 A.
