This being the date set for hearing of Condemnation Resolution No. 2498, same <br />being for the condemnation of Farneman Street from Fellows Street to High Street. No <br />remonstrances having been filed and no remonstrators being present, and a representativeli <br />of Merrill E. Annis being present and beingit favor of the Condemnation, the Board I <br />upon regular motion seconded and carried, confirmed the resolution and the Engineer- ' <br />ing Department was instructed to prepare roll of assessments and damages to be submitted) <br />to the Board at an early future meeting. i <br />'/A resolution was received from. the Common Council introduced by William S. James ' <br />requesting that the Board of Public Works and Safety file an application for a W P A- II <br />grant for river crossings, pumping station and sewage disposal plant. The Board, after <br />d-iscussing this matter, addressed the following communication to the Common Council: <br />t' Your resolution requesting the Board of Public Works and Safety to file <br />an application for a WPA grant for river crossovers, pumping station and -sewage <br />disposal plant was presented to the Board of Public Works and Safety at their meet- <br />ings this morning. <br />After discussing this matter thoroughly, it was regularly moved, seconded <br />and carried that this Board fefer back the above named resolution as introduced <br />by Mr. W. S. James for further oonsideration by the Common Council, in line with <br />the communication received from Harry B. Roach, Acting Director of the SPA, ad.!! - <br />dressed -to the Mayor and supplemented_by a communication from Raymond L. Pike, <br />Director of the Division of Operations to Mr. Harry B.-Roach, which are attached <br />hereto andwhich sets forth additional requirements necessary before the applica- <br />tion for a WPA grant can be properly filed." <br />Mr. William H. Longenecker, Cemetery Sexton, submitted his report of the activities <br />of his Department for the month of November, showing collections inthe amount of. <br />5,071.82 of which $316.32,_is for_ perpetual care. This report is on file inthe office <br />of the Board of Public Works. it <br />II <br />The Fire Chlef reported that the roof at Central Station is leaking badly and shoull <br />be repaired. The Board ordered that John Beyrer & Sons, roofers, submita price and be <br />ordered to do the work immediately. I <br />114eeting adjourned at 10: 45 A.
