399 <br />The Board agreed with Mr. Reed of the Reed Contracting Company of Mishawaka, <br />to transport the cement -mixer to be used on Washington Street project, from Mishawaka <br />to Wainut and Washington Streets, and that Rocco Simeri agreed to transport it for <br />4,-',30.00. It was also ordered that a motorcycle escort be arranged for to transport the <br />mixer from the City Limits to Washington Street and Walnut Streets to prevent traffic <br />accidents, since the transportation,,caravan cannot be stopped in going through red <br />lights, particularly on a grade. The Clerk was ordered to arrange for this transpor- <br />tation. <br />A petition was received from residents and property owners in the 100 block and <br />200 blocks on South Meade Street, requestingthat the pavement be repaired in those <br />two blocks. The matter was referred to the Street Department for attention. <br />� This being the date set for hearing of Vacation Resolutions No. 2491, 2492, and <br />2493, and Mr. Chester Perkins not being prepared to furnish easements on the property, <br />the hearing was postponed for four weeks, or until October 17, 1938. <br />./ Renewal Certificate on Contractors' Bonds in favor of Charles.E. Emmons was ap- <br />proved by the Board. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:00A.
