Minutes of the previous meeting were readand approved.. Claims from the follow- i ing suppliers in the amount of $459.13 were approved and. ordered paid: Indiana fell Telephone Co. .20 Willette Service Station 109.45 Indiana Bell Telephohe Co. 233.22 City Water Works 13.21 A. L. Saville .50 -City Water Works .90 Burroughs Adding Machine Co_ 78.65 Ed Fleming for B..J..McCaffery 10.00 South Bend Sanitary Wipers Co. 13.00 ✓ Mr. Watterson sand Mr. Utter, representing the Northern Inda_na Railway Company, were present to consider a petition signed by 188 residents who live tributary to the Fellows Street bus, in which it is requested that the daily service be extended end also Sunday service increased. After thoroughly discussing the matter, the Board re- quested these representatives to make a thorough survey and be in a position to report at the neat regular meeting any suggestions that they may have for extending this ser-, vice. f i Mr. F. J. Anderson, City Civil Engineer, submitted the following resolution for the vacation of streets and alleys bounded by 4alnut Street on the west, Webster on the east, Ewing on the south, and Donald on the north, same being Resolution No. 2497 i) reading as follows: RESOLVED BY THE BOkRD OF PUBLIC 6ORK6 OF THE. CITY OF uOUTri BEND, IADIIIIA: That it is desirable to vacate the following: j Si%YG1RT AV:N vUE #from Donald_ Street to Ewing Avenue, also 1-`.LLEY '�AIE T OF WFBSTYP STREFT, from Donald Street •. to Ewing Avenue, also l ALLEY 'WEST OF StiVYG -ART STREET from Donald Street I! to Alley North of Fwing Avenue, and ALLLY NORTH OF FW-LgG AVrNUE from Webster Street to Walnut Street. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vaca- tion: Beginning at the north east corner of Walnut Street and Ewing Avenue, thence north along the east line of Walnut street to the north line of Donald Street, thence east along said north line of Donald Street to the center line of 'the Alley west of Swygart Avenue, thence north along said center line of Alley west of Swygar-t Avenue and said center line projected to the South line of Prairie avenue, thence north- easterly along said south line of Prairie Avenue to the center line of the Alley west of Webster Street, thence south along said center line of the Alley West of Webster Street to the north line of Donald Street, thence east along said north I line of Dona16 Street to the west line of Webster Street, thence south along said west line of arebster Street to the north line of Ewing Avenue, thence west along said north j line of Ewing Avenue to Walnut _treet, the place of beginning.
